Alpha Planning Applications is a specialist town planning and property development consultancy founded in Toowoomba in 2014.
We provide expert planning advice and development application services to residential, commercial and industrial developers across the Toowoomba Region, Darling Downs, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Southern Downs.
Since we opened our doors, we have worked exclusively with developers, from first-time investors purchasing their first site through to experienced builders and commercial operators managing large and complex projects.
By directing everything we do toward the needs of developers, we are able to provide accurate due diligence advice, identify every applicable state and local government requirement and prepare detailed development applications that are thorough, well-reasoned and built to get approved.

With 25 years of experience in planning, Andrew prides himself on being results-driven, approachable and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for his clients. He founded Alpha Planning Applications in 2014 with the goal of creating a boutique consultancy focused on supporting both new and experienced developers through the often complex town planning and development application process.
With a Bachelor of Business from RMIT and a Graduate Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning from UNE, Andrew combines a strong academic foundation with decades of practical experience. His expertise spans residential, commercial and large-scale developments, and his in-depth knowledge of council and state government requirements ensures clients receive clear, accurate and timely advice.
Andrew is passionate about delivering solutions that save our clients time and money while maintaining the highest quality standards. He is known for his efficiency and persistence, ensuring every project is managed effectively from start to finish. His genuine care for clients and their projects has earned him long-standing relationships built on collaboration and trust.

Are initial consultations and quotes provided at no cost?
We provide obligation-free consultations and quotes for all prospective projects. We will assess your project, advise on what is involved and provide clear information on costs before any engagement is formalised.
What does the process involve once I engage Alpha Planning Applications?
The scope of work varies according to the nature and complexity of your project. In all cases we manage the process on your behalf from initial due diligence through to approval, coordinating with engineers, architects, environmental consultants and other technical professionals as required.
Do you accept every project presented to you?
We do not. Every project is carefully assessed at the quoting stage. If we do not believe a project is viable, or if we cannot prepare an application of the standard it requires, we will tell you so at the outset. Accepting work we cannot execute to a high standard is not something this practice does.
What types of projects and clients do you work with?
We work with a broad range of clients across residential, commercial and industrial development. That includes first-time developers purchasing their first site, experienced builders managing multiple concurrent projects and property investors seeking advice on the development potential of their holdings. What our clients share is a preference for direct communication, quality outcomes and a planning consultant who takes their project seriously.
